Christian Faes, conosciuto artisticamente come Kris Stian, è il bassista dei Diaolokan: attivo nel 2016–2022 e nuovamente dal 2025.

Christian Faes (as Kris Stian) è il bassista dei Diaolokan. Entra nella formazione nel 2016, resta attivo fino alla pausa del 2022 e torna con la reunion del 2025. Nella band firma con lo pseudonimo Kris Stian.
Il suo percorso musicale nasce in ambito bandistico: studia armonia e strumenti a fiato fin dall’infanzia, conseguendo il diploma del corpo bandistico locale all’età di 13 anni.
All’interno dei Diaolokan, oltre al ruolo di basso, contribuisce direttamente alla gestione tecnica e digitale del progetto: cura lo sviluppo e la struttura del sito ufficiale, parte delle grafiche e degli artwork, la pubblicazione dei contenuti, la pianificazione delle uscite e la distribuzione sulle piattaforme digitali.
È laureato in Ingegneria Civile ed è iscritto all’Albo degli Ingegneri della Provincia di Trento (Sezione B – Civile). Questo background tecnico si riflette in un approccio metodico e strutturato anche nella gestione delle attività artistiche.
Parallelamente al percorso thrash, il black metal rappresenta da sempre un riferimento estetico e personale, radicato nella lingua e nell’immaginario del territorio trentino. In questo solco prende forma un progetto black metal concepito negli anni ’90 insieme all’amico e fratello Simone che, sebbene rimasto incompiuto, costituisce una radice ancora viva nel suo percorso musicale.

Diaolokan bio
Christian Faes, known as Kris Stian, is the bass player of Diaolokan. He joined the band in 2016, remained active through 2022 and returned with the 2025 reunion. Within the band he is credited as Kris Stian.
His musical background began in local wind-band music: he studied harmony and wind instruments from childhood, completing the local band’s training program at the age of 13.
Within Diaolokan, beyond bass duties, he contributes directly to the project’s technical and digital management: development and structure of the official website, part of the graphics and artwork, content publishing, release planning and digital distribution.
He holds a degree in Civil Engineering and is registered with the Order of Engineers of the Province of Trento (Section B – Civil). This technical background is also reflected in a methodical and structured approach to the management of artistic activities.
Parallel to his thrash involvement, black metal has always represented a personal aesthetic reference, rooted in language and regional identity. A black metal project conceived in the 1990s alongside his close friend Simone, though left unfinished, remains a defining root of his artistic path.
